3 mile hike. This is the ideal time of year to enjoy the beauty of blossoming mountain laurels that flourish along the RedmondÕs Path and RiahÕs Ridge trails in eastern Hither Hills. Meet in the parking area at the east end of RodÕs Valley Park in Montauk. Instructions: Driving east on Route 27, exit at Second House Road, which curves into Industrial Road; take the 2nd road on the left; cross LIRR tracks; turn left onto Navy Road to parking area.
