KIDS: Sang Lee Farms Kids Day Camp for YOUNG FARMERS Ages 8-12 (6 weeks)

YOUNG FARMERS Ages 8-12. WEDNESDAYS . 10am-3pm; July 18th . July 25th . Aug 1st; Aug 8th . Aug 15th. Aug 22nd. $85 per session (1-4 session sign up); $425 for FULL PROGRAM (6 weeks). The young farmerês program is perfect for 8-12 year olds who want to get their hands dirty, be outside in nature, learn more about how to grow their own food, and cook with it. This group will be seeding, tending and harvesting their own garden beds. In order to see how all our veggies grow, we go out on daily adventures to harvest veggies and see how they grow in the farm fields. There is nothing better than seeing a child harvest something themselves, and then decided ‘its not so bad’ before eating it! Weekly themes and educational topics will relate to the seasonal veggies available each week, and you can expect some veggies to come home with the campers. Young farmers will also learn more about how to turn what they grow into food they eat by observing and participating in our kitchen tasks certain weeks. BYO healthy lunch & water. *Highly suggested that each camper participate as many sessions as possible to see the full season of crops on the farm & in their gardens.
