EDUCATION: Historian Noel Gish talks about Long Island at the Montauk Library

Historian Noel Gish returns to to ask “Did you know this about Long Island”? This talk is a light-hearted look at the rich history that is Long Island. Through an examination of the men and women who have walked this same land we get to see how this Island fits into the fabric of our nation’s history. From the Island the Native Americans called “Paumanauk” to the Island the English simply called “Long,” the people who have lived and worked here have left a past of which we can be very proud.
